Kohl's Kids Who Care sponsored by Kohl's Department Stores, Inc., is open to children ages 6 through 18 who are residents of a state in which a Kohl's store is located, and who have not graduated from high school as of the application postmark deadline. Kohl's Store consumers who nominate children for Kohl's Kids Who Care must be at least 21 years of age. Nominees must have contributed to the community in a meaningful way by performing volunteer services that helped non-family members. The activity must have occurred within the past 12 months. Kohl's Department Stores employees and immediate family members of employees are ineligible. The nomination form must be completed electronically online; no paper nomination forms will be accepted.

Military Commanders Scholarship Fund
Military Commanders Scholarship Fund: The New York Chapter of the American Logistics Association sponsors up to five $5,000 scholarships for dependent children of active duty, reserve, National Guard or retired members of the United States military who hold valid Exchange & Commissary shopping privileges at the time of application. Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll for the first time in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in fall, 2010. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent. Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal. Financial need will also be considered.

Academic Scholarship Application Requirements
If you are interested in having your child sit for an Academic Scholarship, please register by following the procedure outlined below, no later than February 21, 2010. The scholarship examination will be held on February 26, 2010 at the Senior School clocktower building, beginning at 8.45am and finishing at approximately 12 noon. The scholarship application fee is $90.
