2010-2011 SCE Scholarship Application Now Available

The School of Continuing Education is pleased to offer five scholarships for the 2010-2011 school year. SCE provides scholarships for new and current students to continue in their educational career. These scholarships vary in their fields, the requirements to apply for them, and the amount. Each scholarship has been made available through the generosity of individual donors, faculty and staff, and retired administrators. Please pay careful attention to the requirements for each of the scholarships. Awards range from $100 to $500.

Students can also pick up hard copies of the application in the following campus locations: High School Diploma Program Labs, Learning Centers, English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) Learning Centers/Labs, or the Career Technical Education (CTE) Office-located at the Anaheim Campus, fifth floor.



Deadline and Submission Locations

The deadline to submit the completed application and essay is Friday, April 8, 2011; students should submit them based on their program of study to the following locations:

  • Basic Skills/High School Diploma students must submit their completed application packets to their campus High School Diploma Lab instructors
  • CTE students must submit their completed applications to the CTE Office-Anaheim Campus, Room 513
  • ESL students must submit their completed applications to their campus ESL Learning Center/Lab staff




Scholarship Essay Writing Assistance
The Learning Center lead faculty at Anaheim, Cypress, and Wilshire will provide one-on-one and/or small group assistance with essay writing to students applying for scholarships. Students may visit their campus Learning Center directly. The Centers are open Monday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m.-2:45 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
